Charles Dance was never a big Twitter or Facebook user. But now that he stars in Paramount+’s new Kiefer Sutherland thriller “Rabbit Hole”? “It’s made me more determined to have absolutely nothing to do with social media at all,” he said. “I mean, I never did anyway, but I’m certainly not going to do so now!”
Paramount+’s “Rabbit Hole” stars Sutherland as John Weir, described as “a master of deception in the world of corporate espionage, is framed for murder by powerful forces who have the ability to influence and control populations.”
A packed Stateside Theatre audiences watched the first two episodes of “Rabbit Hole” at the South by Southwest festival on Sunday, and left with as many questions as they had answers. Who’s on what side? What’s going on? That’s by design, and creators/showrunners John Requa and Glenn Ficarra told the...

Jack's back, folks! Well, okay, technically this is a completely new and different series named "Rabbit Hole" that has absolutely nothing to do with "24" and technically the character that Kiefer Sutherland is playing in this new series is named John Weir, which feels more like a play on John Wick than Jack Bauer. But when you strip all that away and look at the extremely eerie connection between the two shows -- Kiefer Sutherland is playing some guy who punches people occasionally -- then the similarities simply become too much to ignore. Also, this is where I should probably confess I've never watched an episode of "24" in my life.
In any case, Paramount Pictures has unveiled a brand-new look at their upcoming original show "Rabbit Hole." As the title suggests, it follows an operative by the name of John Weir who finds himself in the midst of an impossible situation,...

The Obamas have spoken out on Harvey Weinstein.
The former first couple addressed the sexual harassment allegations being levied against Harvey Weinstein in a joint statement obtained by Et.
"Michelle and I have been disgusted by the recent reports about Harvey Weinstein. Any man who demeans and degrades women in such fashion needs to be condemned and held accountable, regardless of wealth or status," the couple said. "We should celebrate the courage of women who have come forward to tell these painful stories. And we need to build a culture -- including by empowering our girls and teaching our boys decency and respect -- so we can make such behavior less prevalent in the future."

Saturday Night Live’s Seth Meyer’s production company, Sethmaker Shoemeyers Productions, have begun development on a reboot of the 60’s classic comedy TV series The Munsters.
The show, which is being developed for Universal TV and NBC, is said to be following the same format as the original show with thirty-minute episodes and will focus on the Munster family trying to stay true to themselves while living in the hipster haven of Brooklyn.
Originally airing in 1964, the series only last two years with only seventy episodes under its belt before being dropped due to low ratings after the premiere of Batman. It followed a family of friendly, quirky monsters and was a satire of both traditional monster movies and the wholesome family fare of the era.
All the costumes and the characters, except one, were based on the classic films from Universal Studios between the 30’s and 40’s.

Sally Field bounces back in this story of mismatched love - or a romantic delusion... that is 3/4 charm and 1/4 wishful thinking. The May-October romance isn't an outright farce like Harold and Maude, so a few of the comic situations are somewhat wince-inducing. Or am I just feeling my own 'October' discomfort? Field fans should love it anyway. The Casting Society of America has announced the nominees of its 31st annual Artios Awards. J.J. Abrams' "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" is among the nominees in its Big Budget Drama category. And why not? The film cast the fantastic unknowns Daisy Ridley and John Boyega along with franchise veterans Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, and Mark Hamill. All to stellar effect mind you!
According to its site, "Artios" from the ancient Greek, meaning "perfectly fitted." So how fitting! Here's more info on the Artios Awards:

Fans were definitely saddened by the news of Joan Rivers’ death following a week in a medically induced coma and stay in Intensive Care. The comedian and actress had a long career of cracking jokes, making people laugh, and sometimes making people cringe. While many younger fans mainly remember Rivers for her work on the red carpet at the Academy Awards or as a style critic and host of E!’s Fashion Police, the comedian also spent a lot of time doing standup and even appeared in several cult classic comedies.
Thankfully some of her best work can be found on Netflix Instant. Those who want to celebrate Rivers’ life have several options to choose from this weekend:
Joan Rivers: Don’t Start with Me (2012)
Filmed during her 2012 tour, Rivers proved that at 78 she still had the same fierce comedic bite that made her a huge hit.

Exclusive: The Casting Society of America has decided it will no longer allow postings for internships through its webpage and sent a note out to its membership announcing its change of policy. The move comes after a Deadline story that brought to light an unpaid internship posting by a casting office that seemed go against federal labor laws, asking an intern to do heavy phone work, appointment scheduling, running errands, typing, and reading and breaking down script. The Csa policy change will apply to both paid and unpaid internship postings. Related: Unpaid Intern Ad From La Casting Company Seems To Fly In Face Of Labor Laws Richard Hicks, the president of the Csa, confirmed to Deadline that he had sent the change of Csa job postings policy out to his membership Friday via email. The 32 year-old organization has over 550 members. “We began looking at the issue last year,” he told me today.

Beyoncé promises a no-holds-barred look at her life. But who needs an HBO subscription when you have a blog and Google?
Beyonce's Life is But a Dream premieres on HBO on Saturday. The documentary will show the charmed life of one of the world's most recognizable celebrities.
But why do we need a documentary? Since Beyoncé is a woman who spends about 98% of her time in front of a camera – but who doesn't really tell us much about herself at all – we can make some very educated guesses about how exactly this documentary will play out. Save yourselves a $60 HBO subscription and read this outline:
Act I: Destiny's Favorite Child
Enter Tina Knowles, stage mom
Célestine Ann Beyincé, aka Tina Knowles, aka mother of Beyoncé and her decidedly not-favorite child Solange, gained notoriety in the 1990s as a ruthless "momager" and creator of some of the worst stage costumes ever stitched.

Tonight we have another instance of "Monday Night Football" happening on a night that is actually Monday which is comforting. There's a show premiering on ABC Family that is based around the always entertaining and not at all gimmicky premise of long lost twins, one of whom was in the foster system and one of whom was adopted by wealthy parents who decide to switch places. First of all, who adopts one identical twin and not the other and secondly, unless it's a delightful romp with Hayley Mills or possibly the adorable child that Lindsay Lohan used to be the whole twins switching places thing is not a great idea. Also, do twins actually ever switch places? Do we have any identical twins here who can let me know? Thanks. Here's your Monday night TV:

Ladies, gentlemen, and commenters, I would like to welcome you all to the most glorious week of the summer. The week which makes all other weeks look silly and inconsequential. The week which makes all the days and weeks of crappy TV seem less significant. I am speaking, of course, of Shark Week!! Intern is about an intern at Skirt magazine, a rival to Vogue. It starts in a mockumentary style and then becomes a straight-up parody on the fashion magazine industry. It’s frankly atrocious. The characters are caricatures of anything you might encounter in the industry, the main character is uninteresting and there’s a pointless side-story about a mole giving stories to Vogue. Most bewilderingly is an odd cameo from Gwyneth Paltrow, who is sat with the Editor-At-Large of Vogue in a throw-away dinner scene which adds nothing to the story, and if anything makes Paltrow look like a fucking idiot for ever thinking this was a good idea.

I've spent most of my day in the presence of 10-13 year olds, outside, so my wit is a bit strained at this point since I can't ask the children "Are you shitting me with this? Seriously?" after I've told them to stop hitting each other nine times in a row and see one of them leaning over to hit another one. I remember once telling my younger sister that should couldn't just move into my apartment with me and start college early because 1. she hadn't finished high school yet and 2. high school is where we keep teenagers until they turn back into humans. I should probably extend that to say that middle school is where we keep changelings until they better figure out how to act like teenagers. Here's your Thursday night TV:

The big television news tonight is that President Obama is set to make an address outlining the plan to withdraw troops from Afghanistan. Two of the networks have simply elected not to schedule new programming during that block whereas two others, well, see below. Now, because you all know that I adore political discussions So Much I will move right the hell on. Also tonight is another episode of "Jon Benjamin Has a Van" which I am still... I'm still thinking about. I want to like it, which is part of the problem, but it just seems like that sort of aggressive awkwardness that borders on meanness and doesn't make me laugh so much as it makes me squirm. Anyone have thoughts on the show? Worth a trial run or just forget about it and keep counting the days until "Archer" comes back? Anyway, here's the rest of you Wednesday...

The fifth game of the NBA finals is on tonight and if you've been following along at all, you'll know that the series is tied up at 2-2. The games I've seen so far (the first three, I missed the last one because of work and will be missing tonight's game for the same reason) have been back and forth the whole time and incredibly exciting. Except I don't really want exciting, because I'd just like the Heat to win. Frankly, it's probably a little better for my sanity that I won't be able to get any information on the game other than what the little Espn app on my phone is able to tell me. Some good news on television tonight; "White Collar" comes back and I know at least a couple of you enjoy having that show around, the cast of "Modern Family" will be on "Inside the Actor's Studio," plus it's the fourth game of the NBA finals! Yay, basketball! But there's also the return of the Duggars (just typing that kind of makes me want to dry heave) and she who shall not be accurately named is on Jimmy Kimmel's talk show. I'm pretty sure there's other things going on with the world, but yesterday and today I've been doing something that basically keeps me cut off from the world for the entire day and when I get home I'm too tired to notice all but the important stuff. Apparently people are angry at that Congressman because he sent a picture of his underwear to an unsuspecting lady? Color me jaded,...

I'm a few days late delivering this news, so I'm sure most "Venture Brothers" fanatics are already aware of this, but for those of you who don't follow James Urbaniak on Twitter, haven't already listened to all the commentary on the new complete season 4 blu-ray set, or don't regularly check Jackson Publick's blog: "Venture Brothers" has been renewed for two more seasons, and a long form "Venture Brothers" special. There's no word yet on when season 5 is set to begin airing, but that's pretty much par for the course for this show and the Adult Swim network. Those of us who are fans of the show can now breathe a sigh of relief (or maybe it's just me that gets nervous after every season finale that Adult Swim will unceremoniously cancel the show in the gap). Exact details are here for those of you who are interested. For those of you who aren't,...

Happy St.Patrick's day, everyone! The day of the year when I get more slightly uncomfortable questions about my ethnic make-up than other days. (It's the ginger-ness, it's like a big sign saying "Ask me about my ancestors! Seriously, it's not intrusive or presumptuous at all.") It's also the day when people in the Us like to celebrate "Irish culture" by drinking Guinness, wearing green, consuming corned beef and cabbage if they're really unfortunate, and listening to Flogging Molly and/or Dropkick Murphys. There's at least one St.Paddy's day special on tonight, but mostly there's a lot of basketball which is probably the least Irish sport in the world. Don't mind me, though, I'm just grumpy because I had an early dentist appointment and had to play the "Oh My God you're Like Totally Irish Aren't You?!?" game earlier than I would've liked. I hope you're all enjoying yourselves.

Drew Barrymore stepped out this week in Los Angeles with her new boyfriend, Will Kopelman (check out the photo gallery below!) The pair are reportedly taking things slow, but have been an item for several weeks. So just who is this non-celebrity that Barrymore appears smitten with? Well, TooFab has some fun facts... 1. Will Kopelman is the son of former Chanel CEO Arie Kopelman . 2. Will is an art consultant 3. He's 33 years old, three years younger than Barrymore 4. Raised in New York City, he's garnered a reputation as a player-about-town 5. He graduated from Boston University 6. He previously dated actress Sarah Roemer , who starred alongside Shia Labeouf in "Disturbia" 7. His former West Hollywood 1,546-square-foot loft was named "The Best Bachelor Pad In L.A." by "Elle Decor" magazine in 2007. 8. He played the role of Andy in his sister Jill's screenplay "Intern" in 2000, that also starred Kathy Griffin and Joan Rivers . 9. In 2009 he...

Tonight's State of the Union address will be interrupting all that great Tuesday night TV like... shoot. I honestly can't think of anything. I mean, "Glee" but it's not back from hiatus yet and I wouldn't really call it "great." More, "somewhat reliably entertaining." Most of the other shows people like to watch on Tuesday nights are on cable networks so they won't be affected by the speech. Really, the biggest TV decision Americans have to make tonight is if they feel that the amount of smug they'll get out of actually watching the State of the Union out weighs the enjoyment offered by such timeless shows as "Hellcats" or the series premiere of "Joan and Melissa." Choose wisely. Here's your Tuesday night TV:

Today is my brother's birthday which is kind of good news since there's nearly nothing else even remotely positive in the news today that I've seen. Anyone else got good news to share? I know it's misery night and all, but honestly I could use a mood lifter and I'm sure a few others of you out there could too. Here's your Monday night TV:
8:00pm: "90210" on The CW
"Antiques Roadshow" on PBS
"The Bachelor" on ABC
"Chuck" on NBC
"Enough Already with Peter Walsh" on Own

"Pretty Little Liars" on ABC Family
9:00pm: "American Chopper: Senior vs. Junior" on Discovery
"American Pickers" on History
"The Bad Girls Club" on Oxygen
"Being Human" on SyFy
"The Cape" on NBC. What's the betting looking like on how long this is going to last? Half a season? Less?
"Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" on Food Network
"Gossip Girl" on The CW.

I hope everyone out there survived their New Years celebrations more or less intact. I'm a bit in the "less" column myself, but I had fun and that's what's really important. I think. Anyway we're diving back into a whole new year of television that is, at least so far, not significantly different than the previous year of television. Kind of anti-climactic really. Now, my newly acquired cast makes it really tricky to type, so with pre-emptive apologies for mistakes, here's you Monday night TV:
8:00pm: "Antiques Roadshow" on PBS. 15th season premiere. They're in Miami Beach, which doesn't make much sense since most of the antiques we have here are people, not furniture. Maybe they'll go around evaluating people's meemaws.
"The Bachelor" on ABC. 15th season premiere.
"Enough Already with Peter Walsh" on Own. Series premiere. Has anyone watched the new Oprah Channel yet? Anyone plan to?

It's that time of year again, when television has become sufficiently slim pickings and my holiday schedule has grown full enough that I have to leave you all to your own television scheduling devices until the early days of 2011. I hope the season finds you all as well as can be and that you've got good things to look forward to in the next week and a half and beyond. And finally, thank you for reading and participating; writing this would be no fun without all of you out there in internet-land. Here's your Wednesday night TV for the last time in 2010:
8:00pm: "The 12th Annual A Home for the Holidays" on CBS
"Top Ten Monks" on HBO2. I don't get HBO2 and I'm very sad about that because this title is infuriatingly intriguing.
"Human Target" on Fox
"Undercovers" on NBC

You ever notice how, when it gets down to the end of the year, there's all this stuff you said you'd do/planned to do that hasn't happened yet and gets squeezed into the remaining few weeks so that you don't feel like a complete failure? That's about where I am now as my friends and I get ready to go our separate ways for Christmas and are busily trying to schedule time to hang out around when everyone has stuff due/is leaving. It's both enjoyable and slightly stressful. Anyway, if you're not busy trying to stuff in all those "I'm going to [blank] in 2010!" declarations in tonight, here's what you can watch on TV as you reflect on your failure:
8:00pm: "How I Met Your Mother" on CBS
"The Sing-Off" on NBC

I'm down to one assignment left this semester, which is great because this week was pretty rough, deadline wise, and a huge week at work so I've been bouncing back and forth between diphenhydramine to get me to sleep and five hour energy to perk me up enough to get through all my work plus eating like shit and it's sort of made me weird and twitchy. Or rather, more weird and twitchy. It's like having a coffee addiction but without the coffee. I think I need to detox this weekend. Anyone have some recommendations for that? Tell me later, right now I have to duct tape my leg down so I stop bouncing my knee compulsively, here's your Thursday night TV:
8:00pm: "The Big Bang Theory" on CBS
"Bones" on Fox
"Brew Masters" on Discovery
"Community" on NBC
"The Santa Incident" on Hallmark. Why do these shitty Christmas TV movies keep happening?...

Today, a decision I made several months ago caught up with me in a big way. Back at the beginning of the semester I said to myself "Self, you live less than a mile from campus. Buying a parking pass would be a foolish waste of money! And the parking lot is always full anyway! You should walk to school, it's all healthy and green and shit and more importantly you won't have to shell out $500 you don't have." And I've had a great run of it... until today when I took out about ten books from the library to start a research paper. Large books. About Nazis. That doesn't make them heavier, I just felt like mentioning it. I'll be spending the night on the couch with the Advil mourning the fact that I'm not wealthy enough to have a masseuse/masseur come to my apartment. Here's your Tuesday...

We've hit the time of year when the Christmas marketing really gets into full swing. Some of it actually started before Halloween, which I consider an abomination. And I don't even really dislike it because it's fantastically materialistic, geared towards an "American Dream" pushed by corporations that your life will get better if you just have more stuff or that it's appallingly Christian-centric. I mean, I do dislike it for all those reasons, but the biggest one is this; if you spend two months planning for and anticipating one day there's no way you won't be let down. I'm doing my best to ignore all of it and not making Christmas plans until after Thanksgiving as... well, probably not as God intended, but it's the way I prefer to do things anyway. Here's your Monday night TV:

Tonight is the already famous or infamous Rocky Horror Picture Show on "Glee" depending on your point of view. I'm of a mixed mind about it; "Glee" is a musical show and Rocky Horror is a musical, it makes sense as a Halloween show, if you declare everything somebody loves sacred there'd never be another cover song ever, etc. However, not everything needs to be redone. The kids who were going to discover Rocky Horror would probably manage to do it without the help of "Glee" and now when they do they're going to have this influence already there. What do you think? When it comes to cult classics, are tributes permitted or should the original be left to it's own life without interference? And what would you consider untouchable? On that note, here's tonight's TV:
8:00pm: "The Biggest Loser" on NBC
"Glee" on Fox
"The Real Story of Halloween" on History.

There are weeks that I can get through with relative ease and then there are weeks like this week where I'm already looking forward to the weekend, but at the same time eyeing that pile of stuff that Needs to get done before Friday. I hate that pile, that pile can go jump off a cliff for all I care but it's there and it has to be dealt with otherwise next week will be Worse and next week I need to be focusing on getting ready for Halloween so I have to get it done. And then I can get to Saturday and sleep for 16 hours like a cat and it will be absolutely glorious. The point of this is I don't have anything particularly insightful or entertaining to share with you tonight so here's your TV:

Tonight appears to be an unofficial celebration of piles of children (Note: apparently it's "Adventures in Parenting" week, according to the Discovery Health website) between Tlc and the Health channel, so if you're into that sort of thing it should be a very entertaining evening for you. My personal tastes in voyeuristic reality shows run more towards "Hoarders" because it scares me into being a better housekeeper. I'm not really sure what the shows about families stretching into the double digits are meant to inspire in their viewers other than a fanatical adherence to birth control. Actually, given the cultural divide in this country over how teens should receive information on sexual health, I'm wondering if that might be a nice middle ground: mandatory viewing of "19 Kids and Counting," or that video of Nadya Suleman where all eight of her infants are crying At The Same Time. Admittedly I'm not...

I'm always bewildered by how much Mondays still manage to suck even when you're basically unemployed. It's like some kind of Pavlovian conditioning that even when you can sleep in, spend the whole day in pajama pants, and your most strenuous decision is what to heat up for lunch, you're like "Goddammit, it's Monday." But not this week, because this week is Shark Week! So it's not just another Monday, it's another opportunity to watch sharks being totally terrifying and awesome. Here's your Monday night TV:

There is like, nothing on TV tonight. I know that's said a lot around here, but usually what's meant is there's nothing on that's good. I mean it for real, the site I consult for TV listings has the shortest page I think I've ever seen on it and this is going to be shorter because they list a few shows I feel comfortable ignoring. (Unless there's a huge amount of WWE fans out there who are disappointed because I'm not mentioning that testosterone-laden soap opera. I'm happy to start doing so if you want. Just be prepared for the mocking I'm sure to do of a show prominently featuring a dance troupe wrestling gang called "The Nexus" facing off against a similar gang put together by a gentleman who runs around in jean shorts, a baseball cap, and no shirt, or so I surmise from the commercials.) So, um,...

I'd like to start by wishing a very happy Canada day to the significant portion of Pajibans who live in that frozen wasteland to the north. (I'm mostly kidding, I've been to Canada quite a few times and it was lovely. Of course, I've always been there in August.) And obviously, we United Statesians are going to be celebrating our own independence related holiday this weekend with meat products of dubious provenance, fireworks of questionable legality, and ugly patriotic themed outfits. Fashion tip: almost no one over the age of 10 looks good in anything approaching a flag pattern unless they're a Playboy bunny in an American flag themed bikini. That color and pattern combination just makes people look lumpy for some reason. The founding fathers knew this, have you see any portraits of Washington or Jefferson in red, white and blue waistcoats? No. Because it's gaudy and unattractive. Here's your...

The season finale of "Glee!" is on tonight, which has caused my sister to bounce around the living room like some kind of deranged bunny rabbit. I'm sure all you other Gleeks out there are just as excited, but perhaps more tempered in your reaction than easily excitable 14 year olds. I'm trying to figure out how they'll shoe-horn in songs we've never heard before for this event that they've allegedly been preparing for all season. Honestly though, if you're watching "Glee" for the plot, you're missing the point. I think that's true of all Ryan Murphy shows. Here's Tuesday night's TV:

In light of last night's debacle, I'll try and keep things light this evening. Hey, guys! There's some TV on tonight! I'm betting that some of you want to watch what's on TV tonight, which is great! And some others of you might not like what's on TV tonight, and that's Ok too! Me, I'll be downing Advil and staying away from loud noises and bright lights because I've got a massive, nausea-inducing head ache that I suppose is karma. I'm so very sorry I told you that you had to frame your conversations about Lady Gaga around actual discussion topics and not cheap shots at her appearance or unsubstantiated claims regarding her anatomy. I got a package today and of course my immediate concern is not actually what I ordered. That was something totally mundane yet necessary that isn't really fun at all (rosin for my bass bow) but it came in bubble wrap and now I won't be productive for the whole rest of the day. Just now as I was reading over tonight's listings and thinking about what to write I had picked it up and had started at a corner and was popping down and outwards. Then I hit a few of those little bubbles that don't pop with a satisfying "snap!" noise but just kind of piffle out and it made me sad. Anyway, it led me to think that some group on my campus should sponsor a study break where they just buy a giant roll of bubble wrap, the kind with big super fat bubbles, and unroll...

I had my last test of the semester today and I'm exhausted. I can't decide if I want to take a nap and then go out tonight and celebrate or take a nap and then wake up, eat something, and fall right back asleep until sometime tomorrow afternoon. The nap, though, is definite. It'll happen right after I finish eating this lunch of an avocado I put on top of some salad because it's still not quite acceptable to cut an avocado in half, sprinkle on salt and pepper and eat it with a spoon. That kind of behavior is for weekends. Here's your Thursday night TV:

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince: "The bulk of the film, as is the pattern, follows Harry through the school year, which is usually where the storylines tend to meander: He goes to classes, bumps his head against some mysteries, and tries to work things out. But Half-Blood Prince comes across stronger than the others films because of the momentum invested in the character relationships that's finally paying off. Harry finds an old potions textbook inscribed as the property of the Half-Blood Prince that helps him do well in his lessons, but the film's real focus is on the romantic ventures and failures of Harry, best friends Ron (Rupert Grint) and Hermione (Emma Watson), and Ron's kid sister, Ginny (Bonnie Wright). The story coasts along on the charms of befuddled teens coming to grips with heavy emotions, and it also knows better than to allow them easy access to real happiness.

If you’re an aspiring screenwriter which, let’s face it, you may be, one way to break into the “business” is through a lab where you work with established mentors and advisers on honing your work and getting it in the hands of the right people. One of the most prestigious and famous of these labs is the one sponsored by Film Independent, a non-profit group dedicated to fostering and nurturing creativity that also produces the Los Angeles Film Festival and the Spirit Awards.
Today, they’ve announced a new group of writers who will participate in this year’s lab. Here’s all the info about the lucky 9 participants from the official press release.
