Arne Valentin (Clausen) is a man working as an "entertainment supervisor" on the ferry going from Copenhagen, Denmark to Oslo, Norway. His job is to make the guests on the cruise boat feel welcome and to entertain them at night in the lounge. Everything is working out quite OK (almost) until Valentin's great idol "Fleksnes" enters the boat...
The movie is tragic yet hilarious. Clausen is excellent as the man who tries SO hard and ends screwing everything up. We all love this character in spite of his racist and sexist remarks, his infidelity and his bad singing, dancing and joke telling. Some of my friends can't stand watching some of the scenes 'cos they get so embarrassed on behalf of this character - that's good acting. Definitely one of the funniest movies I've ever seen.
