While Netflix is constantly adding things to its vast library, the streamer also has to get rid of things too. One can assume that Netflix has many large servers to house all the movies and series that we get to see. But maybe those servers begin to lack room, so some things have to go.
This week is not too bad for having to say goodbye to some items. The 21st is by far the saddest day. Southpaw is a fantastic film starring Jake Gyllenhaal as a boxer who must turn his life around after a tragedy occurs. It is a bit too by note at times, but the acting makes up for any lag in the story.
Book Club also leaves on that day. There is also little doubt as to the acting ability of the cast. The film features Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda, Candice Bergen, and Mary Steenburgen.

Sooraj Barjatya believes the audience likes both Prem and Animal? ( Photo Credit – Instagram )
Sooraj Barjatya has long been a flag-bearer of wholesome, family-oriented cinema. His signature style, filled with traditions, and moral values, has shaped the careers of many actors – none more so than Salman Khan, who immortalized the character of Prem in films like Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Aapke Hain Koun!, and Hum Saath Saath Hain. However, cinema has evolved dramatically since then.
Audiences have embraced darker, intense narratives, with Animal, Ranbir Kapoor’s latest blockbuster, being a prime example. Though Animal is also about family, its portrayal of love, violence, and revenge is drastically different from Barjatya’s vision of familial relationships. Given the current preference for gritty storytelling, many believe that Prem’s era is over. But does Sooraj Barjatya agree?

Here’s Why People Doubted Sooraj Barjatya & Shahid Kapoor’s Vivah (Photo Credit – Instagram/Prime Video)
Sooraj Barjatya has been a cornerstone of Bollywood for decades, making wholesome, family-oriented movies. His narrative around the character Prem has been loved by multiple generations. From Maine Pyar Kiya and Hum Aapke Hai Koun…! to Hum Saath-Saath Hain, Barjatya is known for his work alongside Salman Khan. However, in 2006, he cast someone else for the lead role, which was when Vivah was made.
Starring Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao, the film explores the beauty of arranged marriages and the emotional journey of two individuals brought together by family ties. During the film’s promotion, Barjatya was asked whether a movie like Vivah could find an audience when live-in relationships were becoming increasingly common. Nonetheless, the movie did very well at the box office, grossing about ₹54 Crore on a budget of ₹8 Crore, and remains a timeless classic.

Mumbai, March 7 (Ians) The epics Ramayan and Mahabharat seem to be the latest favourites of our filmmakers. A host of new films have been launched, with plots that seem influenced by the epics. Not only Bollywood, South Indian film artistes also seem intrigued by the epics lately.
The fetish for Ramayan, particularly, has been seen in Bollywood in the past, too. Sooraj Barjatya's 1999 hit Hum Saath-Saath Hain and Karan Johar's Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001) are automatic recalls when you think of epic inspiration by way of theme in Bollywood.
These earlier films, though, primarily drew drama quotients from the epics. The upcoming roster promises to explore the stories with bigger production values, to say the least.
Here's a look at what's in store:
Ram Setu
Actor-producer Akshay Kumar has carved his space with patriotism and socially relevant commentary through mainstream films lately. With Abhishek Sharma's Ram Setu, he is falling back on mythology.

The chief of conglomerate Rajshri Productions, he has produced and directed many films that propound the idea of ‘ideal family’ through his [questionable] hits like Hum Saath Saath Hain. Mamaji [maternal uncle] from Hum Saath Saath Hain once said the family where ladies serve men, at the dining table, is an ideal family. The daily soaps took it so seriously, they still follow it. It has been decades since! Following suit are Kannada TV serial makers who have continually created regressive shows. Khan loses appeal in poaching case
NEW DELHI -- Bollywood star Salman Khan lost an appeal Friday of his five-year prison sentence in a 1998 poaching case. An arrest warrant is likely to be issued against the actor by Monday, after which he is expected to surrender to authorities.
Khan was not present in court as he is shooting in the southern city of Hyderabad. Khan's lawyer, Dipesh Mehta, said an appeal will be filed in a higher court.
"A revision can be filed, and it's his right to exercise all options available to him," Mehta said. "Salman respects the court order."
The case is tied to a 1998 incident in which Khan allegedly went on a hunting trip and shot a chinkara, a protected and endangered gazelle species, which also is considered sacred by the Bishnoi community in the western state of Rajasthan. The incident is said to have occurred when Khan was in Rajasthan shooting a Hindi film, Hum Saath Saath Hain (We Are All Together).
