The sex is okay, but EROTIC FORTUNE COOKIES is merely the usual string of unrelated vignettes, using an aphrodisiac as the cement to link them together into a feature film. Auteur "Artaur Ego" has an unblemished career record of all clunkers.
Each of five porn scenes begins with a customer innocently coming into a Frisco Chinese restaurant for a meal, but after eating the fortune cookie at the end, fantasizing a sex tryst (announced by a gong being struck as in the old J. Arthur Rank movie credits).
We get to see: a young guy visiting his sexy young aunt, who services him; a blonde gets humped by violinist Ken Scudder in a more romantic & classy sequence, scored to classic McCoy Tyner piano runs; shift to Japanese folk music as insomniac Turk Lyon imagines a geisha (played by an Occidental actress) on a swing that he humps in a white-on-white fantasy; a haughty woman gets tied to a bed for bondage and a whipping after her fortune reads: "They who want to be queens are often slaves"; and finally John Seeman buys Girl Scout cookies from a girl with braids and a shaved pussy, then takes photos of her and initiates her to sex. That segment is borderline kiddie porn, but par for the course in 1975.
Nothing new here, and hardly worth preserving (it's merely a Something Weird two-fer DVD).
