This game is the very best...Like no game ever was!

This is actually the blue version in America. This along with the red version is one of the best games in video game history. Ok, You begin your quest to become a pokemon master in Pallet Town. When you leave the town, professor Oak aproaches you and tells you that it&#39;s dangerous in tall grass because wild Pokemon live their. Then he brings you inside and lets you choose your Pokemon. I chose a Squirtle (I feel really bad about letting him evolve) my enemy, MattG chose a Bulbasaur. Then we battled and I continued on my quest. I have collected 47 pokemon and earned six bages so far. I reccommend this game to adults and kids alike. It is a must. The real blue version actually never made it the US!

Green and Red were the first versions of the Pokemon games: In general lines, there aren&#39;t very much differences with the Red and Blue versions released worldwide, other than the slightly different Pokemon sprites (Which were a bit cruder in the Green version), some fixed glitches, and a different tune for Lavender Town (This change actually inspired a popular creepypasta back then in the day) Apparently, the reason why the colors Red and Blue were chosen for the English release was because those were the colors of the flag of the United States, as a way to ensure its popularity in that region. And also because Bulbasaur was assumed to be the less popular of the three starters (Poor little guy; I never chose Bulbasaur as my started Pokemon since I always preferred Water types, but Green always has been my favorite color) Also originally there were going to be 39 additional Pokemon, which ultimately were cut from the final product, but lead to the existence of the glitch MissingNo, made from remnats of the data of the Pokemon that never were. (The Kotora line was the biggest loss, in my opinion, that Pokemon looked cute. Also the shark with the anchor was cool, too. Some of them should have been at least included in Gold and Silver. ) Were those changes for the better? Probably. At the end of the day, the Pokemania was worldwide success which remains to be pretty profitable to this very day. While I haven&#39;t played any Pokemon game since a long time, I still have fond memories of this franchise, and have a lot of fun learning more of its early history.
