At 2 min Norman is playing the piano and talking to Peggy. The bottle and glass on the table behind Norman appear in different positions in the close up and distance shots.
At 3 min Norman is driving Peggy home. Within the car they are pictured close together in a tight embrace. However, the view of the couple as seen from the outside looking through the front windshield has them sitting apart.
An essential part of the murder plot was that Norman Laurence Payne and Peggy Jane Griffiths each establish the alibi that they weren't at home (each at their own home) at the time of the murder. Norman had stressed to Peggy that he must not park his car in front of his house otherwise the neighbours could tell the police that he was at home. This also applied to Peggy, but when she goes back to her house to carry out her part of the plot, she pulls up on her driveway and her car is parked in full view of passers-by, there is no hedge or fence in front of the house to screen it. The neighbours could destroy her alibi.
