This is the story of beautiful couple Fernando (Alvaro Escobar) and Isabel (Maribel Verdu) who, together with their young son, Miguel, go to live in the Chilean capital. They set up an adventure tourism business which quickly becomes successful, but Fernando's idealistic enthusiasm - he's not amoral, but feels he has to behave tough in a tough man's world - drives him to buy a share in a dodgy real estate company, which is where the moral problems begin. Fernando's cynical friend, Guillermo (Alvaro Rudolphy), and Isabel (Carmen Maura) complete the cast of this morality tale about the hard road towards experience, where professional and personal demands always seem to be in conflict.
A simple story that ultimately exhibits the criminal betrayal of the coalition of government, Contertación, to their voters and against the principles that claimed to defend. A summary of accommodation of these subjects to the social and economic system inherited from the dictatorship. His failure to criticism can be explained by the ability to reproached the crime was being committed suited the owners of the media, and the low box office came that the public interest was only focused on the picaresque and melodrama . But it is a very good movie with great quality, a victim of his time, seen nearly 20 years after its premiere one never ceases to surprise and criticism of the country's political transition was censured.
