Hinterland

this movie is required viewing for the human race. the hosack brothers have a true gift of cinematic artistry that needs to permeate us as a species. only then will we transcend the bonds of our "physical bodies" and enter a dreamlike state known as hinterland nirvana. i think everyone who views this film needs to send the hosack brothers a card or photo perhaps to thank them for generating such a work of brilliance for the lowly organisms such as we who crawl before them in ignorance. i am so glad that they have decided to take on the Hollywood establishment with such vigor. i am waiting eagerly for the future release of films bearing the hosack name, a true measure of quality in film-making.

I have seen movies that spend two hours attempting to capture this kind of emotion, but are unable to. This short, I believe conveys a depth of emotion that is unequaled by many higher-budget, feature-length films. All pieces work together to accomplish this -- script, acting, soundtrack, cinematography!

I was very pleased to see this thoughtful short. I must say, it was one of the first films, short or full length, to truly affect me emotionally. Kudos to the Hosack Brothers, and here's hoping they produce many films in the future!
