This is a very funny comedy about a TV star, and shows Joanna off perfectly. She is a very talented comedy actress and makes the most of her material. There are subtle jokes in this, behind the raucous front line story of a dreadful low-budget diva, and it's worth taking time out to watch it. I hired the DVD, and enjoyed it immensely. Ms Lumley is dressed to perfection and has a terrific supporting cast.
The TV show itself is one step up from Crossroads and several steps below anything else you've ever watched, and in all its dreadfulness it is the star of the programme. Don't know how I missed it before this. Ten lines? Hope so.
