This was both Jerry Tucker's and John 'Uh huh' Collum's last appearance in Our Gang. Jerry is seen at the far right in the back row. John is the announcer of the race.
Although the outdoor scenes for the series were all shot in and around the Los Angeles area, the stories never identify where the gang lived. In this episode however the boat race takes place on Toluca Lake by name, which is just a few miles north of the Hall Roach Studios.
