The lifetime achievement award for film comedy was presented by Sir John Mills to Peter Rogers and the Carry on films. The award was accepted by Peter Rogers along with Gerald Thomas, Barbara Windsor, Kenneth Connor, Bernard Bresslaw and Liz Fraser. Sir John had worked with Rogers and Thomas on 1957's 'The Vicious Circle'.
