The film was previously titled " Chikni Chachi" then " Stree 420".
Kamal Hassan did a original Hindi film (non dubbed) after 12 years. The last being Dekha Pyar Tumhara (1985).
Kimi Katkar's husband Shantanu was directing the film, but was removed after a few days by Kamal Hassan. He was not happy with his work.
