Although it is a very loose adaptation of Jonathan Swift's novel "Gulliver's Travels", it is nevertheless only the second screen adaptation of the novel to feature his voyages to the flying island of Laputa and Houyhnhnmland, the first being Gulliver's Travels (1996). The voyage to Brobdingnag is omitted.
