Dummy (2002)

FAQ

Dummy

FAQ

Dummy was written and directed by independent filmmaker Greg Pritkin.

No, but it's possible that Steven's (Adrien Brody) incredible shyness may be the result of something such as anxiety or ASD.

According to director Greg Pritkin, the dock where Steven and Lorena (Vera Farmiga) went walking on their first date was in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn. The Target store that Fangora (Milla Jovovich) got kicked out of was located in Commack (New York).

Some viewers think it was a goof. Others have suggested that (a) Steven only rented the dummy or (b) it was a sign that Steven was starting to lose his timidness such that he was able to talk the salesclerk into taking back the dummy and refunding his money.

No. Bonnie (Mirabella Pisani)'s father was hit and killed by a car on his way to buy a wedding ring for Lorena. At some point, Lorena tried dating Michael (Jared Harris) but realized that he was an obsessive "psycho" and was forced to take out a restraining order on him. That's the reason she acted the way she did after Steven had left that spray-painted thank-you note on her front door.
