Paramount has announced the lineup of movies, TV shows and live sports coming to the Paramount+ streaming service in February. The Paramount Plus February 2025 schedule includes the season three premiere of Yellowjackets and the second season of Taylor Sheridan’s 1923.

Audiences will also be able to dive into refreshed and expertly curated collections, including the expanded Black Voices collection in celebration of Black History Month and the Peak Romance collection, featuring an assortment of romance-themed movies and seasonal episodes just in time for Valentine’s Day.

Hollywood star John Cusack has spoken out about the tragic Titanic submarine loss, stating that it “doesn’t seem tragic” to him. Following a five-day search, it was announced on Thursday that all five men on board were killed in just seconds after the submersible suffered a “catastrophic implosion” 1,600ft from the bow of the Titanic, according to the US Coast Guard, reports Mirror.co.uk.

Exclusive: John Cusack has signed with APA for representation after less than half a year with Gersh.

The signing of the iconic actor, writer and producer continues the agency’s momentum under the leadership of President Jim Osborne and Head of Global Talent Andrew Rogers, who came to APA from ICM Partners after the latter’s acquisition by CAA. APA has, in the last month alone, signed such notable talents as William H. Macy, Maria Bello, Donnie Yen and Grown-ish star Trevor Jackson. Big signings in the second half of 2022 included Regina Hall, Ken Jeong, Nathalie Emmanuel, Marc Maron, Michael Rainey Jr., Russell Hornsby and Michael Cera.

Signalling Mexican giant exhibitor-distributor Cinépolis’ gradual return to producing since the pandemic, the company has partnered once more with producer Javier González-Rubio of Invicta Films, here on film critic Hugo Lara’s second feature, “Serendipia” (“Serendipity”).

It is Asian Heritage Month in Canada, and few characters are more iconic than Janet Kim from “Kim’s Convenience” (2016). In this widely-watched TV show, Andrea Bang spins Janet as a headstrong, single 20-some year old who brings her Korean Canadian family together. After the show’s sudden shut-down last year, Bang re-emerges in feature form with director Renuka Jeyapalan (also from “Kim’s Convenience”). “Stay the Night” marks the duo’s re-entry into the film world, and not without applause. The film premiered in SXSW and more recently screened at the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival.

Here, Bang plays Grace, a stubbornly introverted corporate employee. Her roommate Joni (Humberly Gonzalez), however, is anything but. So when Joni kicks out Grace for (yet another) spontaneous hook-up, Grace finds herself looking for a retreat. She resorts to what any desperate urban, young woman would do in her shoes: find a one-night stand.

The spirit of “Ghost” literally haunts “The In Between,” a romance about two high school students whose love affair is tragically cut short, including a cameo by the poster for the 1990 blockbuster which starred Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze. This time, the star-crossed lovers are teenagers — Tessa (Joey King) and Skylar (Kyle Allen) — who are involved in a car accident in the movie’s first scene. Skyler is killed and Tessa is hospitalized with a critical injury to her heart, an example of the film’s less-than-subtle use of metaphors.

Using a split timeline, “The In Between” alternates between the past, recounting how Tessa and Skylar fell in love, and the present, in which the grieving Tessa starts to believe her late boyfriend is trying to communicate with her from beyond the grave.

Less than two years after the soulless vapidity of Scott Speer’s “Endless”, death-obsessed Gen Z-ers are again gifted with, well, a slightly less soulless and vapid “Ghost” ripoff in the form of Arie Posin’s “The In Between.” Bolstered by the charms of Joey King — fresh off her Netflix trilogy “The Kissing Booth,” sealing her as one of our most formidable streaming romance stars —

The primary issue: “The In Between” seems stuck in between (sorry) two very different stories. There’s the sweet, chemistry-fizzing romance between budding orphan photographer Tessa (King) and trilingual championship rower Skylar who meet cute at a screening of “Betty Blue” at their local arthouse (kids these days!) and then try to make a go of it, and what happens after a summer together — cut short when a car accident kills Skylar. Posin flips back and forth...

2021 is nearly in the books and Hulu is celebrating by heading back to the past…like, the way past. With its list of new releases for December 2021, Hulu is going positive Medieval with two swords and shield original series arriving this month.

Animated comedy Crossing Swords premieres its second season on Dec. 10. This stop-motion style tale follows Patrick (Nicholas Hoult) as he works his way up the feudal latter of The Kingdom. This will be complemented by Dragons: The Nine Realms on Dec. 23. This series is set in the How to Train Your Dragon universe and takes place over 1,000 years after the events of the films. In it, a group of modern day kids uncover the secret truth about dragons.

Hulu also has some more current options for TV this month. Original comedy Pen15 premieres the second half of its second season on Dec. 3. Watch it to relive the trauma...

Kyle, Stan, Kenny, and Cartman will make their Paramount+ debut when “South Park: Post Covid” premieres on the streaming platform November 25 in time to make your Thanksgiving watchlist.

In “South Park: Post Covid,” the gang is navigating post-pandemic life. Fans will also get to see adult versions of Kyle and Stan reconnect over the phone after Covid changed everything.

“You remember when we were little as friends, we said we’d always be there for each other when things got bad?” Kyle says in a teaser released last week. Stan replies, “What do you mean? What happened?”

Fans will have to watch the special to find out the answer to that question.

Kids can also look forward to a slew of holiday episodes from their favorite shows, including iCarly, Dora the Explorer, Peppa Pig, Paw Patrol, and more. In the trailer Beckinsale’s Beth Burgess looks to defy all personal and professional expectations, embarking on a dramatic, yet whimsical journey to discover the truth behind a a young mother’s crimes. The clip teases Beth’s trigger-happy adversaries, romance, and rising tensions between her subject.

Robert Lantos’ Serendipity Point Films (“Crimes Of The Future”) and Beta Film are joining forces on “Rise of the Raven” (working title), a big-budget epic drama series about Janos Hunyadi, a fearless warrior who defeated the vast Ottoman army and defended Europe in 1456 at the Battle of Belgrade.

Based on Bán Mór’s bestselling novels, the 10-hour series will be showrun by award-winning director George Mihalka who will also direct the final three episodes. The actor has teamed up with Kast Media, the company behind The Sarah Silverman Podcast and Welcome to the Oc, Bitches, for How U Livin’ J Piven.

The series, which will launch July 14, will see Piven sit down with stars such as Jamie Foxx, Tiffany Haddish, Common, Mark Cuban and UFC stars Rashad Evans and Jorge Masvidal.

Piven also starred in series including The Larry Sanders Show, Mr Selfridge and Wisdom of the Crowd as well as feature films Black Hawk Down, Heat, Old School, Serendipity, Smokin’ Aces and Runaway Jury.

Exclusive: Two-time BAFTA nominee Peter Chelsom is making his second feature, the revenge thriller The Beauty of Sharks with Indiana Production in Italy. The news comes as Chelsom’s Italian thriller Security drops on Netflix today.

Written by Rob Green with rewrites by Chelsom and Tinker Linsday, the pic, set in 1958, follows Mrs. Joy Hamilton, a recently widowed American socialite on the brink of ending her life when she sees the chance to avenge a famous millionairess, whose son she raised as her own. Believing the son to be dead, Mrs. Hamilton recruits a handsome gigolo to be the imposter in a dangerous confidence trick. The actress, who starred in the 2019 drama Widow, is taking over for Isla Fisher in Paramount+'s dark comedy Guilty Party.

Deadline first announced the news.

Fisher joined the series back in March, but it stepping away due to Covid-19.

The half-hour series follows Beth Baker (Beckinsale), “a discredited journalist desperate to salvage her career by latching on to the story of a young mother sentenced to life in prison for maiming and murdering her husband, crimes she claims she didn’t commit,” reads the official logline.

“In trying to uncover the truth, Beth finds herself in over her head as she contends with Colorado gun-smugglers, clickbait culture, the doldrums of marriage and her own tarnished past.”
