I'm a sucker for coming attractions, and apparently I'm not alone, as Something Weird has issued this incomplete version of PROFESSOR LUST to satisfy the lust aroused by its trailer attached to many of the SW videos.
It's an OK, quirky sort of soft porn movie, evidently directed with tongue firmly in cheek. Helmer William Rose has made several excellent porn films, but this isn't one of them.
The creepy title guy is on trial, using the film to explain himself. For the first 20 minutes of the feature there's no sex or titillation at all, just decent acting depicting him teaching a college chemistry class.
However in the basement he keeps a stable of busty women, used in sexual experiments. Episodic presentation shows a variety of perversions, several of which are missing from the SWV print running 66 minutes. But that's an adequate porn running time, meaning the complete film was overlong in the first place.
One oddball segment has a guy resembling Peter Lorre, dressed up in Louix XIV garb, getting serviced by a hottie. These period styled segments play out like a cross between Tony Richardson's TOM JONES and a Ken Russell film.
Overall, okay for fanatics of softcore sexploitation.
