The follow-up to "Soldats Sans Uniformes","Barak 1" takes also place in the occupied Belgium:however,at the beginning of the movie ,the allies make a breakthrough into enemy lines and head for Rennes.
The main characters really lived these events ,so "the movie depicts life in the prison with precisely" .Perhaps so ,but it does not prevent the story from being very melodramatic sometimes.
A painter makes false papers for his fellow men;an infamous opportunist Concierge and her hateful son ,member of the SS ,give him away to the Gestapo.
The longest part of the film depicts life in prison :the best moment are to be found here: the condemned man's farewell to the inmates ,smiling and urging them to hope for the best ;the hero, refusing to escape ,because they would take reprisals against the others .
On the other hand ,the flashbacks ,explaining why some of these men wound up in jail ,are pointless :the chemist wins hands down when it comes to being silly, wrapping up the German officer's mouth-bath in an underground paper "La Belgique Libre " !
