- TriviaWhen Movie Mason (Mickey Rooney) tells Karen and Bryan that there's always magic at the movies, he says "And we all learn there's no place like home." This is a nod to Rooney's long-term friendship and partnership with Judy Garland, who coined this phrase in The Wizard of Oz (1939), whom he accompanied to the premiere of that movie, and with whom he starred in many films.
- GoofsAmong everything that Sean caused to malfunction, it's never explained how Sean was able to manipulate the film reels/computer system to cause the projection to go haywire on the one movie and the lights to malfunction on the other. As Merle stated, he couldn't find anything wrong when he was examining the issue with "Cut to Black" but only that everything was on a computer nowadays.
- Quotes
Movie Mason: When we arrive in this world, magic is all around us. You simply have to see a baby discover a butterfly or a toddler splash in the bath for the first time. Yet, as the years pass, simple pleasures aren't quite so simple to find. Myths and legends fall away. Santa's secrets are revealed. Card tricks lose their fascination. True wonder is hard to come by. But there's always... magic at the movies. Pirate ships, bicycles that fly, angels earn their wings, beautiful women marry handsome men, and we all learn there's no place like home. To destroy that magic, to shatter those moments, to me is a sin so grave it would almost be incomprehensible! If there truly is a phantom, my friends, I assure you it most definitely is not me.

An incredible potential wasted, a ghostly legend, metalanguage, some good captivating characters, a promising premise, however the production skidded in the silly teen mixed childish nonsense, 90% of the film takes place in the haunted cinema, a plate full wasted with little children eating popcorn and solving adult problems, boring, blocked script, and not very fun... Cliché and Weak...
