      The film was started in 1968 and delayed for 3 years. Shakti Samanta blamed it on Shammi Kapoor's weight problem.Shakti stated that Shammi had gained so much weight he could not fit him all in one frame. He requested Shammi to lose some weight. Shammi agreed and left for London. When Shammi returned he had gained even more weight.
