I found this film in a $5 DVD bargain bin and was skeptical, but I liked Brigitte Bako in Paranoia and Eric Roberts on his current series Less Than Perfect, so I figured what-the-hell.
The film gets off to a slow start, and for a while it looks as if it's going nowhere. It begins with Bako revealing to the police how she thinks her husband, Roberts, was murdered. But the film picks up when we switch points of view and see the same scenario with Bako as the murderer. I have to admit the role-reversal was quite cleverly crafted. After another chain of events, what really happened was revealed, leading to a very surprising twist ending. I generally have movies of this sort figured out long before the characters, but the twist that happens in the last 2 minutes of the film genuinely floored me. Good perfermances, clever story... It was certainly worth the $5!
