Two seasons of six episodes apiece were made. All of the first run still exists in the archives; however none of the second is currently known to survive.
The BBC were not willing to allow Ray Galton and Alan Simpson to work outside their contract, so the programme was mostly scripted by Eric Sykes. For the second series, however, the BBC relented somewhat and allowed Galton and Simpson to contribute some sketches, provided they were not credited on-screen.
