Just stumbled on this out of the blue and found it very well done and laugh-out-loud funny in many parts. The two brothers are so utterly clueless they cannot help but charm you. The ultra low budget is visible at times and the camera work is a bit weak, but the movie has lots of heart and laughs to make up for it. All in all, a far better film than many big budget Hollywood comedies which have utterly no heart and soul. Bros. has soul and then some. I was reminded at times of the Joseph Minion-scripted and Martin Scorsese-directed "After Hours," which had the same spirit of manic frenzy to it. Hope to see lots more from writer/director Figg.

Another attempt at showing white kids going from the whitest kids to big rappers. To become what they really aspire, they have to make $10,000 to get stereo time for a demo tape. So what they decide to starts with petty stealing. Then it leads to bigger crimes; robbing a liquor store. But not all goes well. Or does it? The story line is really predictable, but thats what makes it funny. Its as though you know the ending, but the mission there is going to be one amazing ride. It is really hard for me to imagine that this story in any context can happen in real life. And the movie is what it aspires to be. The actors played the script as well as they could with their skills and their budget. Nothing special. All in all, it is a movie that won't shock you at anything amazing, or one you will ever remember for being amazing at anything.
I found this little gem at a video store going out of business...i expected nothing but received the greatest movie i own to date. First off i must say this movie should not be mentioned in the same sentence as "Malibu's most wanted", that movie has less then half the laughs in this fine piece of craftsmanship. This movie contains so many one liners ill be quoting it for the REST OF MY LIFE i could watch it over and over. The most important thing is i felt that these actors haven't received the credit they deserve. I went out of my way and actually was able to get in contact (and autographs!) from the crew. They are extremely awesome. That said you need to go buy this movie and watch it immediately. oh but before you do...u must get into "the brown-zone brown-zone" ill leave with one of my fav. scenes where the bros are trying to get they're "gats" seller - "MACHINE GUNS...i ain't got no machine guns - its 2 nines or one nine and a shotgun" bros - "okay do you happen to know where we can get some skimasks?"
