I was only 6 when I watched this in England. Made a huge impression on me. LOVED Susan Hampshire in it! Even named my daughter Katy.
Would LOVE to see it again!! Anyone know how? Please tell! I have searched and searched for decades. Online, and wrote to BBC (don't think they answered).
Susan Hampshire's sweet loving face has always cheered me. I remember her in Thomasina, too. Have seen her in several shows. She has smiling eyes, too, that delight, a face that makes you feel happy. In Monarch of the Glen, she was good; couldn't stand Richard Bryers, very irritating in most things he's shown up in.
Anyway, please let me know how to see this version of "Katy" again.
