- TriviaIn one scene, Dwayne Johnson, lying on his back, springs to his feet. Director Chuck Russell wanted to include a physical feat which only Johnson could perform. Russell said he had never seen a 6-foot, 3-inch man do that.
- GoofsPhilos the Alchemist has gunpowder, which he claims is from China. Chinese "firepowder" was developed in the mid-200s BCE, and the movie is set almost 3,000 years before that.
- Crazy creditsThere are no opening credits, only with the Universal logo and the title for the film at the beginning.
- Alternate versionsIn the UK the distributor, UIP, removed a headbutt in the final fight sequence between Mathayus and Memnon after advice given to them by the BBFC. This was done to obtain a more commercial '12' rating.

FIRST: Let us FOCUS on the Title's Content and Context.....
WELL, a LOT of big names involved in this TITLE! Makes me want to ask... Right from the GITGO.... What¨s NOT to like about this Feel-Good... Something For Everyone... Action Extravaganza!?!?!?
In the '80s and '90s, Arnold Scharzennegar was the King of Hollywood action films. But nothing is forever. With the The Scorpion King, there seems to be a new pretender to the throne ...The ROCK! More charismatic and certainly a better actor (but then again, who isn't?) Than "AHNULD" was 20 years ago, The Rock, here appearing in his first title role, has had the good fortune that the film, and his participation in it, seems to have been relatively successful in every sense of the word!
"SCORPIAN" from beginning to end, is a roller coaster of action, adventure, intrigue, romance, magic and beautiful women. A Hollywood capsule of pure adrenaline. If there is anyone in the family who does not like movies of this genre, hard not to be entertained by this minor gem. But Be forewarned! Scorpian may not be the most suitable of films for kids under 9 or 10.....
7.5*STARS*....... ENJOY! / DISFRUTELA!
Any comments, questions or observations, in English o en Español, are most welcome!
