The conclusion is touching, it's always pleasing when a film manages to make you feel something.

'Money' is a decent Gabonese flick. No-one really sticks out acting-wise, though everyone in that department is satisfactory, to be fair. David N'Guema-N'Koghe naturally, as the lead actor, is the most noteworthy onscreen, his character comes across as intended.

The story holds interest, I wouldn't label it as an entertaining film but as a slice of life sorta thing with Mougler and his friends it is suitably watchable. It is quite interesting how the film portrays the kids as adults, most notably when it comes to the love triangle at the bar.

The conclusion is touching, it's always pleasing when a film manages to make you feel something inside. Another positive that this movie has is the fact that it is told across only 76 short minutes, meaning events never grind to a halt; even if the pacing isn't perfect.

Not often that one gets to see a film from the African nation of Gabon

Dôlè is a nice little flick. Fun while you watch, and it fades quickly afterwards. The story concerns four teenage buddies who love to have fun. They run complex shoplifting runs with each other. The film's biggest problem is that these boys cross from the realm of adolescent incorrigibility into adult criminality. It gets difficult to like them after a while. The script contains a lot of cliches, but, overall, it is pretty entertaining. The music is really nice, as well. If it weren't for the big cop-out in the third act, the film would probably be a lot more acceptable. The title refers to a scratch card lottery game that the locals are obsessed with. 7/10.
