The Plot: Playing as Klingons, Borg, or Federation, you must rid the universe of threats. The main enemy is Borg, but if you play as Klingons, it's the Cardassians. In Borg, it Species 8472.
Pros: Improved conrols and graphics make the game fun. The Controls and Graphics have impoved 2 fold since the original.
Cons: The missions are not as interesting. Plus in single player, you can't play as Romulans, Cardassians, or Species 8472.

This is a real time strategy game that introduces the Cardassians into the picture- their need to expand and conquer is growing in the face of the rising Federation presence. Meanwhile the evil Borg (headed by the Borg Queen, played by the actress from First Contact) is rising in numbers to assimilate planets from afar.
These story arcs are simply brilliant. The gameplay and musical score keep the narrative moving in a cinematic way. The graphics were great for their time. It's very nostalgic and fun to be able to command ships that for a while, you'd only ever seen in tv and movies. A perfect game. Get on it!
