Remember Air Bud? After Air Bud, where he learned basketball, and Air Bud: Golden Receiver, where he played soccer, and before Air Bud: Seventh Inning Fetch, baseball, and Air Bud: Spike Back, volleyball, and what would have been the best sequel had they ever got around to it—when Josh goes to college and joins a frat and Buddy tags along, This Summer, Air Bud Is Back In Air Bud: Beer Pong Pooch—between all that, was Air Bud: World Pup. And Air Bud played soccer. Completely ridiculous, right? Dogs can't play soccer, right? you're Wrong. This dog is the real Air Bud. Her name is Purin the Super Beagle (Purin means "Pudding" in English) and this is a video of her playing soccer. Here are her...

Norm MacDonald must need some quick cash, because he has signed on to voice a dog in a movie called "Vampire Dog," the trailer for which has gone viral, mostly because it's so bad that it looks like a spoof of family movies. But it's a real film and you can watch the trailer below. Plot: Ace (Collin MacKechnie) is just like any other new kid at school, until he inherits Fang (MacDonald), his grandfather's Transylvanian dog. Fang, however is no ordinary canine. He's really a "vampire dog," that licks jelly from a bowl and even speaks English. Together, the two misfits discover that with a little teamwork and courage, anything is possible. The new movie is directed by Geoff Anderson, a visual FX supervisor on such films as "Air Bud: Seventh Inning Fetch" and "Snow Buddies." It's set to hit stores on DVD on September 25th. Trailer:...

In this day and age, it's becoming harder and harder to distinguish YouTube parody videos from genuinely bad stuff. So when a trailer for a movie called Vampire Dog hits the web and happens to go viral, it's easy to assume that it must be a joke. But no, as it turns out, this is a real direct-to-dvd movie that will be hitting store shelves next week and it looks pretty hilarious. The story revolves around a boy named Ace (Collin MacKechnie), who inherits his grandfather's Transylvanian dog, Fang. What he doesn't know is that the dog is also a vampire. Norm MacDonald voices Fang, which makes this feel even more like some sort of meta-parody of terrible family films. However, the fact that it is directed by Geoff Anderson, a visual FX supervisor on such films as Air Bud: Seventh Inning Fetch and Snow Buddies, says otherwise. Whether or not it is truly self-aware,...

Between Uggie from 'The Artist' -- a pet who already has an underground awards campaign going for him -- and Cosmo from 'Beginners,' film dogs are all the rage this year. Yet despite the high praise for both of those movies, not all canines star in critically acclaimed projects (looking at you, golden retriever from 'Air Bud: Seventh Inning Fetch'). Thankfully, directors no longer need to worry about which types of pooches make for the best films -- and possibly could help them win an Oscar. Vulture has just put together a list of the dog breeds that guarantee the best movies, using the average Rotten Tomatoes score of each film in consideration.

A new Bonnie and Clyde movie from writer/director Tonya S. Holly has been in the works for a while now. It seemed like smooth sailing for the project, because not only does it have a strong Hollywood legacy to build off of because of 1967’s Bonnie & Clyde starring Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty, it also had a known star attached with Hilary Duff signed on to play Bonnie Parker. A remake and a famous face? That’s as good as gold in executive eyes. But these days things don’t seem to be so sure. Joining Duff as Clyde Barrow was going to be Gossip Girl and Air Bud: Seventh Inning Fetch actor Kevin Zegers, but due to scheduling conflicts, both Duff and Zegers have had to drop out of the film. Okay, so maybe the loss of Duff hurts a bit more, but you get the point. This movie has gone from a surefire hit...

Somebody’s snarking on Jennifer Aniston, and surprisingly its not about her empty womb or lack of a man-friend. In an interview with BBC4, actor Rupert Everett criticized Jennifer Aniston’s “tasteless rom-coms.” Everett wasn’t really concerned that The Bounty Hunter was so terrible it sent 75% of its viewing audience into a coma; instead he wondered how Jen can keep making putrid movies like The Switch and still get cast in major motion pictures. “Okay, something will go wrong. Like Jennifer Aniston will just have one too many total flops. But she’s still a member of that club. And she will still manage to — like a star forming in the universe — a whole lot of things swirling around and suddenly solidifying into yet another vital tasteless romcom: a little glitter next to the Crab Nebula,” Everett complained. We love Jen, but we agree: girlfriend must have made a...

Hilary Duff is set to star in The Story of Bonnie and Clyde along with Kevin Zegers.
Tonya S. Holly is directing from her own script, which claims to be a different take rather than a redo of the 1967 classic starring Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway. Duff will play Bonnie Parker and Zegers has agreed to play Clyde Barrow.
Most other blogs have been making a big deal about Hilary Duff in an almost remake somehow tarnishing their memories of a classic film. But what seems to be ignored is her co-star in the new indie film, Kevin Zegers. He is the star of four movies in the Air Bud series, where a dog is capable of shooting free throws, catching passes, kicking a soccer ball, and hitting a baseball.
Now I’m not saying you should completely ignore Hilary “Lizzie McGuire” Duff. But when you’re dealing with an...
