Keira Knightley has a small cameo as one of the music school students. Although she is not mentioned in the cast list, she appears in the "Special Thanks to" list further in the credits.
The movie did so poorly in the UK, that it went for a straight to DVD release in the US five years later.

For the filming of Patrick getting stripped to his vest and underwear in the playground, Bruce Cook's father stripped down to his own vest and underwear too. Just to make Bruce feel okay.
According to the DVD commentary, the filmmakers wanted to film at the real USSC. They sent USSC the script and they liked it, but declined their permission to film there.
