The contest ended April 1, 1988. Throughout the video were scenes of Ernest unsuccessfully adding up the number of times he said it. The video was rereleased in 1992 with those scenes cut out.

I don't know about you, but I grew up watching Ernest, and I absolutely loved watching him. Some of these commercials are funny, and others are just normal, but it's great to see a little more Ernest. Some of Jim Varney's Ernest commercials are on the dvds of his movies, so if you want to check them out, you can check them out there.
