      The original Broadway production of "The Admirable Crichton" by J.M. Barrie {on which the screenplay was based} opened at the Lyceum Theater on November 17, 1903, ran for 144 performances with William Gillette {famous for his Sherlock Holmes plays and portrayal} in the title role. The play was revived on Broadway in 1931.
    • Goofs
      Criichton is on the semi-submerged boat. Lady Mary swims towards the boat but has difficulty swimming. Crichton rescues her. When they board the boat, their clothes are dry. Moments later, Crichton dives into the submerged boat. His clothes are obviously wet.
