ANHONEE pulls off a mid-film twist with fantastic aplomb that veers this film from a vanilla romance drama towards a more rousing suspense thriller territory. Although the plot remains predictable throughout, and the surprise reveal is as unsurprising as it gets, this film works big time due to a superlative central performance by late great Sanjeev Kumar and a brilliant musical album that contains timeless classic like "Hungama Ho Gaya". Watch it! It's not anything groundbreaking, but as a time capsule to an era where Bollywood was willing to experiment more even in its mainstream genre, it's a surprisingly great time.
