Of the five main actors in this movie, only one, Frances McDormand, uses her own accent. The others are: a Welsh born Englishman (Christian Bale) performing an American accent; an English woman (Kate Beckinsale) performing an American accent; an American man (Alessandro Nivola) performing a British accent; and an English woman (Natascha McElhone) performing an Israeli accent.
In reference to her nude scenes in this movie, Frances McDormand said, "About a year-and-a-half ago, I decided that I wanted to try nudity. I knew that was a challenge I wanted to have," she explains with a smile. "And though it's not necessarily that full-on in the movie, I was nude a lot during the shooting of it, and it was about a certain physical liberation for myself as an actress."
Red Hot Chili Peppers appear among the musicians in Jane's photo gallery too. Other legendary musicians in the photos are Iggy Pop, David Bowie or Bruce Springsteen. They are thanked in the credits.
