Cynthia Rothrock was disappointed in the film's action content, partly because the local stunt personnel had difficulty reacting convincingly to her strikes in fight scenes. Additionally, her climactic showdown with James Lew was originally envisioned as a lengthy fight with ambitious choreography, but was significantly scaled down when the filming allotment for the scene was reduced to a matter of minutes.
