Trailer Park Boys is filled with hilarious one-liners and laugh-out-loud moments, and many of the funniest lines are the best Bubbles quotes from the show's 2001-2014 run. The absurdist series follows the residents of a trailer park and all the trouble they get into. Bubbles is one of those residents, a kitty-loving cart thief played by Mike Smith — who also co-writes Trailer Park Boys. He is often the anchor that keeps his friends Ricky (Robb Wells) and Julian (John Paul Tremblay) grounded. There's something genuine about Bubbles that made him a fan-favorite character, and the best quotes from him demonstrate his many endearing qualities.
While Trailer Park Boys had a solid following in the series' home country of Canada, the boys from the Sunnyvale Trailer Park have extended their fan base immensely since the series and assorted projects were brought to Netflix, resulting in new seasons, films, and live specials starring Ricky,...

It’s a little hard to say how popular the series Trailer Park Boys is. It went for twelve seasons and this is the fourth movie spin-off, all in the space of over twenty years. Not many shows have been quite as prolific as that. But. I have met very few people who have watched the show and I see very little talk about it online. I am a fan of the show and have been for a good while. Although in truth, it’s been a long time since I’ve opened up my DVD boxset. When I discovered a new movie was out though, I jumped at the chance to see it.

Trailer Park Boys spinoff sends the eccentric musos – and a vanload of cats – off around Europe with predictably uncertain results
Trailer Park Boys is a long-running, multiplatform Canadian sitcom that non-Canadians with a taste for bawdy comedy may know if they’ve let Netflix’s algorithm churn up deep catalogue cuts in the middle of the night. For everyone else, bemused but not entirely unamused with this latest product, the basic setup is that this film is a mockumentary supposedly being filmed by a Dutch crew, and starts out in a trailer park in Nova Scotia in the company of various eccentric working-class chaps, some of whom are ex-convicts.
In this feature-length offering, salty but sweet Bubbles and his unfeasibly thick-lensed spectacles decides singing country songs for retirement-home residents isn’t enough of a career. With a bit of pluck, gumption and the power of montage, he soon assembles a...

The new Trailer Park Boys movie, with the subtitle Standing on the Shoulder of Kitties: The Bubbles and the Shitrockers Story, is about to make its run in theaters.
The Trailer Park Boys franchise is a mainstay in the comedy world. It started in Canada as a 1999 movie of the same name and follows a trio of trailer park residents in the fictional Sunnyvale Trailer Park in Nova Scotia as they make a documentary about their wild lives as petty felons.
Along with the original movie and a seven-season run on TV from 2001 to 2007, three other films were developed from this story between 2006 and 2009. A fourth movie is about to push that story even further.

Exclusive: Following the November 25 Paramount+ launch of his holiday comedy Dear Santa, Bobby Farrelly has closed a deal to direct Driver’s Ed, a teen ensemble comedy to be fully financed and co-produced by Stuart Ford’s AGC Studio.
While we’d reported in October that Sporkinfeesten, a “finding your roots” style family vacation comedy loosely inspired by true events, would be Farrelly’s next project after Aaron and Will Eisenberg’s hot spec landed at Amazon MGM Studios, Driver’s Ed has gained traction first and moved to the top of the filmmaker’s docket, with casting underway for an early 2025 shoot in North Carolina.
Driver’s Ed centers on teens who steal their school’s driver’s ed car to go on a road trip to help a high school senior track down his college-freshman girlfriend and win her back. Jonas Pate, co-creator of Netflix’s smash hit YA series Outer Banks,...

The best jokes are rooted in simplicity, and that's why Ricky's Trailer Park Boys quotes are always so funny. Rickyisms, a collection of lines attributed to the character, are a thing. Many great Ricky quotes involve wrongly substituting a single word or mispronouncing something, taking puns, metaphors, and wordplay to a whole new level. There's actually a term for this type of comedy or mistake, and it's called malapropism. Rickyisms have become a huge part of the character, a main feature of the show, and are reliably hilarious.
For 12 seasons of Trailer Park Boys, Ricky found unique ways of expressing himself, from jah-la-pah-no chips and sweet empowered chicken to rocket appliances. In an early episode, Ricky clearly states, "I just don't know how to express myself sometimes when I need to be properly different." Shane Gillis's sitcom Tires pushes boundaries for laughs, reminiscent of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. "Bupkis" is a deep, star-studded show similar to Tires that fans of Gillis should watch. Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee and Trailer Park Boys are must-sees for fans of boundary-pushing comedy like Tires.
Standup comedian Shane Gillis's latest sitcom, Tires, expanded upon the popular performer's impressive resume and left viewers eager for similar series to check out. With a short six-episode first season, Tires was not afraid to push boundaries for the sake of a punchline and consistently toed the line between political correctness and social acceptability as it joked on issues of race and sex in a laid-back workplace comedy. This type of risque comedy was nothing new, and Tires brought to mind several other comedy shows that those who connected with Gilliss comedic tendencies may enjoy.

TV shows like Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Glee often recycled storylines but added fresh twists each time. The Walking Dead and Supernatural had recurring themes of finding new settlements and escaping death. Arrested Development and Trailer Park Boys featured predictable storylines with main characters in repeated trouble.
Over the years, there were several TV shows that recycled the same storyline with every season. Even the best TV shows of all time have been known to repeat themselves, but some shows managed to reinterpret the same story arc in different ways, changing with each season. There were also examples of TV shows where every episode was the same, which followed a very particular formula. TV shows that recycled their plots weren't necessarily bad, however, but it was very clear to audiences that they'd watched this storyline before.
Some titles didn't receive a lot of positivity for repeating themselves, though, which resulted in...

Ricky's unique choice of words creates memorable Rickyisms that steal the show on Trailer Park Boys. Ricky's dim-witted charm and constant misuse of idioms add a comedic element to the show's dynamic.

Underrated comedy movies on Netflix offer a range of comedic styles, from slapstick to spoof, with memorable characters and hilarious performances. Despite critical backlash, movies like "The Happytime Murders" and "Dirty Grandpa" remain guilty pleasures and box office successes. "Eurovision Song Contest: The Story Of Fire Saga" and "Accepted" are surprising, underrated comedies on Netflix that deserve more recognition.
When it comes to the underrated comedy movies on Netflix, there are several to choose from that are both underappreciated and often labeled as guilty pleasures. It could be argued that most comedy movies are guilty pleasure movies that simply vary between comic tastes. The more ridiculous, far-fetched, or over-the-top a comedy is, the guiltier the pleasure of watching it. As a pure form of escapism, the comedy genre tends to sit near the top of the heap, offering audiences a chance to forget about life for a while with a big smile on their face.

With his awkwardly hilarious demeanor and thick-lensed glasses, Bubbles has endured as the breakout character of Trailer Park Boys, and there are many interesting facts to know about his actor, Mike Smith. The character's uniquely passive-aggressive nature comes out in some of Bubbles’s most hilarious profanity-filled quotes. New releases get the marketing momentum and media buzz. But older titles that stand the test of time, often called “legacy” shows, can be exceptionally valuable in the streaming era. Thanks to their rewatchability and appeal to different generations, these shows can be key to convincing audiences to stay subscribed.
We’re defining “legacy” shows as one that had its first season before 2012, ended before 2020 and continues to generate strong demand according to Parrot Analytics‘ data, which takes into account consumer research, streaming, downloads and social media, among other engagement.
By that measure, the most in-demand legacy show in the U.S. is “Game of Thrones,” with 80.6 times more demand than the average show in the last quarter of 2022. The show, which ran from 2011 to 2019, is still one of the most successful shows in television history. It received a boost in attention this year from the long-awaited release of its prequel “House of the Dragon.

Kids vs. Aliens gets off to a promising start as the crew of a fishing boat witness a UFO splashdown near them and are quickly decimated by its occupants. The scene then cuts rather jarringly to Gary his friends Miles (Ben Tector) and Jack along with his older sister Samantha (Phoebe Rex) making a super 8 post-apocalyptic epic.
After their shoot is disrupted by neighbourhood bully Billy and his friends Sam finds herself interested in things other than filmmaking. There are just two problems. One, Billy is only interested in one thing, well two things, he also wants her to let him throw a Halloween party at her house while her parents are away. Two, or I guess three now, the aliens plan on attending as well.

Diallo Riddle and Bashir Salahuddin know that having their own show is an opportunity that neither of them can waste.
The latest proof of their longtime comedic partnership is Season 3 of “South Side,” the hilarious workplace-adjacent comedy that began its life on Comedy Central and now resides on HBO Max. The show follows Rto, an Englewood-area rent-to-own store, as their employees travel through the greater Chicago area, repossessing furniture and getting caught in the wildest, weirdest corners of the city. When Salahuddin’s Officer Goodnight isn’t somehow wrapped up in those same schemes and scuffles, he’s one of the many characters on the show who gets a full (and sometimes very confusing) life away from their job.
One way to juggle all these different people and ideas is to throw as much into the mix as possible. Over the course of a single conversation, Salahuddin and Riddle mentioned...

Since the American remake of “The Office” hit small screens in 2005, its fabricated documentary style –– often referred to as the mockumentary format–– became a sensation in the United States. With both “Abbott Elementary” and “What We Do in the Shadows” nominated for Best Comedy Series this season, it’s clear that the mockumentary subgenre continues to find favor among Television Academy voters and general viewers alike. But what are the roots of the mockumentary, and what success has the relatively recent sitcom phenomenon had at the Emmys up to this point?
Precursors to the mockumentary format –– which refers to documentary-style filmmaking in comedic media, specifically –– can be found as early as the 1930s, with the Luis Buñuel film “Land Without Bread” documenting a real-life region in Spain, utilizing hyperbole in its narration to satirize the living conditions of the impoverished people of Las Hurdes, contrasting the narrator’s uninterested manner of speaking.

Admittedly, I was late to the "Letterkenny" game, but only because someone told me that the show was basically "Trailer Park Boys," and I still have a personal vendetta against the person who said that because it meant I was a good four years late to the super soft party.

Joining the ranks of hit British shows to be turned into American hits such as “The Office” and “Queer As Folk,” Fox will present a new comedy “Welcome to Flatch,” inspired by the BAFTA-winning hit BBC comedy “This Country.” Sporting less theatrical “Waiting for Guffman” vibes with a healthy dose of “Trailer Park Boys,” the half-hour comedy will attempt to take the TV mockumentary by storm. Find the newly released first trailer below.
Here is the official synopsis from Fox: “When a documentary crew sets out to explore the lives of residents in a small American town – their dreams, their concerns – they stumble upon the midwestern town of Flatch, which is made up of many eccentric personalities. It’s a place you want to visit and maybe even stay. If there was a decent motel. Which there is not.”

In the battle of the trailer park sitcoms, picking a winner between My Name is Earl and Trailer Park Boys is no easy task. They have a lot in common, specifically being set in close-knit, albeit not entirely lawful, communities. The cast of characters in both shows are definitely colorful, outlandish, and hilarious. That being said, there are more than a few ways the series are different from each other.

Trailer Park Boys is a little show that, through miraculous luck, went on to become an international hit comedy series. None of the crew could have predicted how beloved their low-budget mockumentary would become, and how quotable and hilarious the characters and dialogue would be. It firmly established Eastern Canada as an area worthy of great comedy and made stars out of small actors.

If you don't get it, you don't get it. Trailer Park Boys is one of the best comedy shows of our times, though it admittedly may not be for everyone. It has been made in mockumentary-style, meaning it's a mock documentary that parodies current events and issues presented on the show.
