Wonderfully directed first effort from Radha Mitchell.
She should direct more because her experience as an actress helps with structure and story telling.
This is not a pretentious black and white offering from first time director Mitchell.
The black and white imagery puts the viewer in a mood where darkness contrasts light and confusion over love, fear of commitment. We realize that love is what it is and that some of us in this world will find it and others, sadly, will not.
What a lonely existence for those who never find love or even worse, who have it but because they went through life with blinders on, never saw when it was right before their very eyes.
