What is this film about? What does a Vietnam-vet have to do with a bunch of Phillapino gangsters? This crazy 'story' begins with Duke Carson's (played by James Acheson) wife being killed in the vietnam jungle infront of him. First question: What is the wife of a soldier doing in the Vietnam jungle? Second question: Why does Duke scream 'NOOOOOOOOO' when she is shot? It was his fault! The 'movie' then drifts towards the shinanigans of cop Rudy Fernandez (who is by far the best actor in the film). After being fired for killing a robber with connections, he is offered a role to play in the heist of the bank within the American Base in the Phillapines. After much 'action' (his dad being shot out of nowhere, the recruitment of more crazy Phillapinos, a bar-room brawl and a love-afair), the heist is all ready (funny how easy it is to break into an American base. How convinent that it was 'lunchtime'.). Duke somehow enters the movie again and goes on a rampage. Why? Why? Why? Why are Phillipino actors overdubbed with Mexican voices? Why are there so many script and editing mistakes? Why does the back cover of the video tell us that Duke has had 'more than 37' missions in Vietnam, when they arn't even mentioned in the film? The Phillos pull it off, but at what price? At what price? I think the price was less than the budget of this film. Overall it's a great film, no wait, it's a really crap film, but if you want to laugh at bad acting and film-making, this film is perfect. Actors moving into the path of bullets? Shooting scenes directly into the sunlight? M16s used by ordinary cops? How does being taken hostage by a bunch of gangsers for 45 minutes lead to a total mental and physical break down? Why are the gangsters ready to take on an entire American army with only 3 minutes of planning from a hand-drawn map? So many questions, and so little plot. It's worth seeing just for a laugh (and the cliched late-eighties soundtrack and clothing).
