Hardly up there with her best work, "Stud Hunters" is Candida Royalle's 15th feature for her Femme Productions banner, designed as a satire of the business of shooting porn.
Alexandra Silk plays the Candida role, coming to Brooklyn from L.A. to hold auditions for an upcoming porn movie starring Ava Vincent. Hi-jinks behind the scenes make up the bulk of the slight movie, including lots of standard audition material, except this time it's the boys showing off their bodies to impress a woman filmmaker.
Sexual highlights are provided by offbeat casting of real-life dominatrix Tara Indiana as a busty journalist and a young beauty Leila Swan as Silk's assistant, who was cast on the recommendation of Annie Sprinkle, after taking one of that icon's sex education courses.
