Not quite in the all-sex niche genre, "True Colors" illustrates the format of a typical Video Team release, a label spotlighting Black Femmes in porn (subsequently MIA with perhaps only West Coast Productions carrying on the mantle, though that distributor specializes in white chicks vs. big black dicks for much of its output).
Midori co-stars with Evan Stone as budding entrepreneurs preparing a new magazine named "Kaleidoscope" on a tight deadline. Its features are sex- oriented, so we see various photo shoots and brief interviews to create some content.
Of the lovelies, many of whom are from the Video Team group of regulars, superstar Dee stands out both from a beauty and a talent standpoint. Label is not averse to hiring white actresses, and both Kelsey Heart (though her distinctive nipples are not given the closeups they deserve) and Monique De Moan provide enjoyable equal time.
Patti Rhodes' script does nothing with the story premise and her hubby Fred Lincoln's direction is boring, resulting in assembly-line porn.
