All extant sources, including a Colombian research book, give the movie title as "Bajo el ardiente sol", which means "under the burning sun". However, the screen credits of the original version (Mexican) spell it differently, as "Baja El Ardiente Sol" [sic], with the different meaning of "the burning sun comes down". Those who have seen the movie will convene that this is a much more appropriate title to describe the drama of Berta.
