Track record of helmer Barry Alexander Brown, and scads of clever writing from scripting producer Dan Harnden, should help this little gem find a home, although it is probably too intimate and original to win more than a cult following.

Dan Harnden's screenplay keeps things relatively interesting, despite the very thin plot.

Clever though the premise is, the film's real strength is the smooth banter between Sam and Devon; it's never less than smart, often startlingly perceptive and always thoroughly convincing.

Best appreciated for Ruben Santiago-Hudson's convincing performance as a man possessed by a quartet of supernatural beings.
