During the making of the film, Aamir Khan had a huge showdown with the producers of the film. Aamir had requested to be let off early due to his uncle Nasie Hussein's birthday party. He had well informed the producers about this, On the day of the party , aamir was about to leave when the producers grabbed hold of Aamir and said he would be required to shoot late at night. Aamir reminded them of his prior commitment. This is when the producers started to verbally trash Aamir. Heated words were exchanged and aamir vowed never to work with the producers again.
Deepak Tijori claims when he signed the film it was a two hero film . He signed the film and was on cloud 9. Thats when Qayamat Se Qaymamat Tak released and was a blockbuster. Aamir was then signed for the other hero 's role. The director then altered the script to make Deepak Tijori' role a supporting one.
In 1988 the producers approached Salman Khan when the film was titled "Dhamaal Chokdi". Salman quoted a very high fee that the producers could not afford and felt he did not deserve .Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak released and Aamir was signed for a reasonable price.
Aashiq Deewana..This was an uncredited adaptation of Ritchie Valens' "La Bamba" (1958). Ritchie Valens himself derived his version from a Mexican folk song. Another popular version of this song, by Los Lobos, featured in the 1987 film, "La Bamba"
