As a matter of fact, I just realized that I had made a significant
mistake on the figures concerning the number of viewers:
It was actually over 10 MILLION viewers per episode and not 10
thousand as I had previously mentioned; sorry ! To this day, "L'Eté Rouge" remains at the top of the french
television all time successes and has been sold and aired
internationally in many countries. For Trivia, in November 2001, while George Corraface, the lead
actor, was shooting that mini-series, he got the Best Actor of the
year award in Greece for his work in Andreas Pantzis' film "To
Tama".

It has been 10 years that, every summer, on french channels, thousands of viewers follow the weekly episodes of a tv serie which had been made for that purpose. "The Red Summer", with George Corraface starring in the lead role, found an incredible success with over 10 thousands of viewers over the five episodes. The plot was made so that every viewer could follow the investigation to solve the mystery: if Thomas Croze (George Corraface), ski champion, is innocent, who killed his wife?
