Featured review
The literal translation of the title of this movie is: Destroying Superstition.
The classification of drama was rather inaccurate because it is more like a scientific documentary, with some drama added in order to tell the story better. As a result, perhaps the docudrama is the best classification for this movie.
The movie exposed many dirty tricks criminals used to cheat money out of ignorant general populace by taking advantage of the general populace's superstitious believes due to lack of education. (Before the revolution, most of the general populace in China was uneducated and illiteracy rate was extremely high, a fertile ground for frauds.)
