The literal translation of the title of this movie is: the bloody battle at the bridge named Spirit Losing Bridge.
The performance of the actors are all right, but physical appearance was rather not convincing: during the war, with the exception of the United States, the United Kingdom, and the Germany during the Second World War, most other nations suffered the supply shortage, even for the armed forces, particularly for Chinese armies. As a result, the soldiers were skinny, and weak. The actors in this movie had the physical appearance of good life: their figures are fuller, though might not be fat, but certainly not skinny. They also looked very healthy, there was no signs of battle fatigue or illness.
