PBS' Moyers to retire after Nov. election
NEW YORK -- Award-winning TV journalist Bill Moyers will end his celebrated 30-year career following the November election, PBS confirmed Thursday after a report by the Associated Press. Moyers told the AP that he intends to write a book about his former boss, President Lyndon Johnson. The host of Now With Bill Moyers, a weekly series on PBS, Moyers began his career with the network in the early 1970s as host of Bill Moyers Journal before joining CBS News as a correspondent and commentator on CBS Reports, a documentary and investigative series.
