Max

Max is a little gem, Brakhage made this film with no editing or anything, it is one roll of film with the flares and all, looking at his black cat. Max feels like a throwback to his older film 'NightCats' in terms of his shot choices and overall feel. If you can get your hands on this film in any way, do, Brakhage's emotional connection to his cat really come through here. This film is simply a perfect look at the love connection between a wonderful filmmaker and his cat.
