The film had its mahurat in May of 1986. Sanjay Dutt openly stated in interviews he did not care about the film and it was better off unreleased. The title was taken from a unreleased Mithun Chakraborthy,Poonam Dhillon film.
This film was delayed for about 5 years.
Anupam Kher played Vinod Mehra's father's role in this movie,in fact Vinod Mehra was 10 years elder than Anupam Kher In age.
Madhavi's murder scene was shot at Chandan cinema in Juhu Mumbai.
Vinod Mehra was unable to dub for the film due to his untimely death.
