Another pointless reality-based television show which features famous UK celebrities (and one American) trying to lose weight and get fit like they used to be. Not very interesting, and rather silly, the show comes off as a dull reminder that British television is becoming too consumed with reality television. Good Lord, they've even got a reality show about people who think they're in a reality show but aren't! What's next?
Celebrity Fit Club is just one of the very many rubbish reality shows currently on. This one is usually screened on ITV at 8.00 on Tuesday evenings and as I write this comment, another series has recently started.
It is about a bunch of celebrities who think they are overweight (some are more than others) and do a series of activities to make them loose weight and more fitter. They show off rather a lot too. One good thing is that the money they make goes to charity.
To me, all these celebrities do this for is to get attention. Some of the celebrities to have taken part in this include the annoying Venessa Feltz and Anne Diamond, who are a little big headed anyway. Darts players Bobby George and Andy Fordham have also taken part. The host is Dale Winton.
This sort of TV is now taking over our screens and it would be interesting to see what they will think of next. Celebrity fire fighting?!

- TriviaWhen journalist and television personality Anne Diamond appeared on the show in 2006, she was forced to pull out after admitting she had received a gastric band operation; a medical procedure in which the recipient lose weight quickly. Because Diamond was already losing weight due to the procedure, she could no longer compete. However, Diamond was invited back to the show and given the opportunity to find out how much weight she had lost, but her rival team decided not to award her this privilege. Diamond subsequently left the show.
