- TriviaThe anthropomorphic, striped cat-like creature seen on Traveller's Tales' original company logo was originally going to be the main playable protagonist of this game, but was replaced with a more human looking protagonist instead due to pressure from Activision, who were originally the publishers for Haven during development, until Midway came in and took their place.
Featured review
Move over Darth Vader Vetch is in the house. This game has the best voice character actors ever especially the "bad guys" vetch and his general. Too bad there wasn't a sequel. The game starts out with a general with a voice that sounds over a 100 yet bold and strong reporting to Emperor Vetch. Vetch has conquered many worlds and enslaved them to maintain and increase his power, and extend his immortality unopposed. The general reports to Vetch that a young person who goes by the name of haven has been having a dream. The dream is of calling The king who has left their world on a crusade, and this king is the only one who can defeat Vetch. However there is a condition for this. The King can only defeat Vetch from his castle which is guarded by a shield, and the person who summons the king must stay inside the shield because the king will come to that person where ever he is even outside the castle where the kings powers are useless. Haven had to make a choice after he summoned the king either to stay in the shielded castle and wait, or to rescue his girl friend who was actually sent by Vetch to Haven to win his heart. Haven follows his heart and falls into the trap which Vetch has set up for him "Haven" as well as the King. In the end Haven is left with the question of why he did not stay where he was supposed to when he called the King. That was Just the story as for the computer graphics and gaming, every challenge was awesome, and you could due a virtual tour of a planet on this game at a time when there was no GoogleEarth available. Who knows? maybe some of technology used to create GoogleEarth came from the designers of this game.
