Rented out this DVD thinking that its a comedy movie.
Though a complete U-turn from comedy, still a good attempt as a first time direction by Deepak Tijori (remember....Friend of Akshay Kumar in Khiladi).
Movie is about 3 friends. A rich guy, a poor guy and a girl friend. The poor guy wants to be rich super fast, so becomes a male striptease against his friends wishes.
He discovers a disturbing fact while in this profession. I will not reveal the disturbing fact. So watch out for yourself.
Acting is not very great but manageable, songs are also strictly OK. The theme of the movie is what makes it different.

Oops review :
Actor Deepak Tijori's directorial debut; Oops handled the bold topic of male strippers. The plot revolved around two young dudes (Kiran Janjani - Vikas Sethi) who get lured in to male stripping acts by a socialite (Mink Singh) and it is at one of these shows that dude 1 meets an attractive middle aged lady (Meeta Vasisht) and starts a torrid affair with her. In a queer coincidence, the lady turns out to be the mommy of dude 2 and then all hell breaks loose. Hence the title - Oops!!
Deepak's plot was too bold for the audience of 2003 and to make matters worse, the two dudes were pure teak wood as actors. The only positive factor was Meeta Vasisht who not only looked gorgeous here but was also completely convincing as the lonely soul who loses her way. Kiran Kumar was assuredly good in a cameo.
The same subject of male strippers was given a humorous twist later in Akshay Kumar - John Abraham starrer Desi Boyz (2011) but I personally prefer Oops more. It is Deepak Tijori's best work till date - behind the camera of course!!
